Andy  Metcalf

Co-founder & Executive Director

Andy Metcalf is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Good News Soccer Academy.  He believes that we are all called to use our God-given gifts and abilities to point people to the saving work of Jesus Christ and to benefit our fellow man.  Andy’s success on the soccer field combined with his love of the game provide a unique opportunity to reach the lost for Christ through the world’s most popular sport.

During his high school years at University School of Jackson (TN), he set the state goal scoring records for a single season (72) and career (182) while being named Gatorade State Player of the Year for Tennessee his senior season. While playing at the University of Memphis, he helped the Tigers to only the second NCAA tournament appearance in school history and ranks third all-time in career points (90) and goals scored (39).

After his Memphis career, Andy was selected 19th overall by D.C. United in the 2006 Major League Soccer Supplemental Draft.  He played one season where he scored against Scottish Premier League champions Glasgow Celtic in a friendly.  He also played for the Atlanta Silverbacks of the United Soccer League.

After his playing career ended, Andy was voted into the Jackson Madison County (TN) Sports Hall of Fame (2012) and the University of Memphis M Club Sports Hall of Fame (2014).  He has also coached competitively for various youth clubs for over 10 years.

Andy is happily married to his beautiful wife Natalie, and they are blessed with two children, Eleanor and James. 

Natalie  Metcalf

Co-founder and Communications Director

Natalie Metcalf is the Co-Founder of the Good News Soccer Academy.  She currently serves as Corporate Secretary for Ministry Outreach Foundation organization and affiliated corporate entities as well as special assistant to the President on various MOF programming matters. 

She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from the University of Mississippi and her Master of Business Administration from Union University. 

The Lord has blessed Natalie with a love of His Word and the gift of writing, leading her to write multiple studies on various books of the Bible geared towards women.  She has been blessed with the opportunity to teach these studies in her local church.

Natalie is happily married to Andy, and they have two wonderful children, Eleanor and James, and a boxer named Moses.
